Holiday

We have finally capitulated and put out the holiday-themed stuff. OK, we don't have so much that is that specific, but we'd like to let you know that there are Xmas and Hannukah cards, gift wrap and gift tags, and a card that turns into an ornament. (For real ornaments, try Greenjeans three doors down.)

Back in stock: Giant Dwarf hummingbird cloches. Lovely hats recycled from sweaters and adorned with a felt hummingbird and vintage button. It is time for hat wearing in New York! Also more candles from Beccalights, including the infamous Baked Bread one. For foodies, I also have Devil's Food Cake and Morning Cup. The store smells so good.

New: vinyl flap bags, somewhere between a messenger and a purse, by Astrosatchel. Everyone in Brooklyn loves their long adjustable strap bags so here we go. And, delicate vases from Tania Julian of Atlanta, they have a soft matte finish and "drawings" on the surface in green glaze. Definitely giftable.

It's so chilly in the back of the shop where I sit, off to buy a space heater....

Shopping Online

Happy Thanksgiving! We're going to do a little experiment - I have set up online shopping for a very few Rare Picks from the store, just for the holidays. The site goes away after December 9 so that there is time to ship things out before Dec 25. There are fun presents at different price points for men and women...so start shopping! PS If there are any problems, please let me know, we whipped this together in less than a week in the wee hours of the morning.

Gift Guide

We're pretty excited to be in Time Out two weeks in a row! This time, the gorgeous Aida Dirse handbuilt bowls were featured in their annual Gift Guide. The bowl is shown with Alissia MT's rings spilling out of it, and we now carry her rings as well.

The Fire First bags are here and they are so cool. The batteries in my camera decided to die today so I'll have to post pictures later.

It's a frosty day here, please bundle up!

Back in Stock

Bloom bags are back in stock - the square could-be-a-laptop tote is here again, and some hobo shapes, plain and with embroidery. These bags are great because they are so light on your shoulder.

I'll put the new Possum and Chestnut cards out as well. Time to refresh the window display!

The hot pink ladder scarves are back, someone told me pink was finally going away but it shows awful tenacity in sticking around.

I have more cards and shirts from I'm Smitten - you can't get enough of these, it seems. I have picked up a couple different card designs, I hope you like them.

And what's new? For your gadgets, I will have more little felt iPod cozies, they have a flap and a slit for the headphones, these are arriving shortly. We are happy to have some books from 826NYC for you too. There are some outrageously funny stories therein (as well as a Zombie Goat or two).

Once again, we'll be open tomorrow, Wednesday, then closed for Thanksgiving, and then open again on Friday at 10am.
